October 19, 2009- Alright guys, so I'm really trying to pull this place back together, which is why I need everyone to pitch in. Flamey suggested we do the award polls, which is like Best Clan, Best Staff Member, etc. etc., along with the CPC. For those who don't know the point of the CPC, it's done so we can see which cats to put where when the leader switch comes, though I don't plan on bringing back the deputies just yet, considering how few active members we actually have. To Jay, Flamey, and anyone else who is active (you know who you are), I appreciate it, it's you guys that have kept everything going so far. With that said, I recommend advertising, find sites that have maybe between 50 and 150 members with a lot of active members and post our advertise (which can be found here Advertise) on said site, make sure that they don't already have our advertisement though ;)
AshClan Camp AshClan Camp is located on the side of the sole, large volcano at the center of the territory. There are two parts to the camp, the inside part, which is located in a small cave, etched into the rocky side of the volcano, and the outside part, which consists of small, well dug burrows that can house up to four cats a piece. The cats of Ashclan sleep outside on the cool greenleaf nights, and inside on the harsh leafbare nights. The camp is well protected since it is surrounded by a thick layer of ash, that would make cats from any clan but AshClan cough and choke.
Volcano Crater The Volcano Crater, is located, obviously, at the very top of the volcano that lies in AshClan territory. It takes almost a whole day for a cat to reach the top, but not just any cat will be able to make it all the way up. The altitude increases, and the amount of oxygen in the air decreases as well, so only cats used to climbing to such heights, such as the cats from BoulderClan and of course AshClan itself, would be able to make it to the top without passing out. At the top, a cat can see the whole of all ten clan's territories, making this a valuable land feature to control.
Sandflower Rim Sandflower Rim is where the ultimate herb grows. This ultimate herb is the Sandflower. The Sandflower can cure anything if it is administered the correct way. The thing is, the Sandflower only grows at the rim of the volcano in AshCaln Territory. Lucky for them the AshClan cats have thick fur which helps protect them against lava .
Hot Streams Farther up, and closer to the top of the volcano, is a large rocky overhang. A waterfall breaks through a crevice in the overhang, and falls below to a large pool of steamy water. Next to the hot pool of water are smaller streams that go out on either side. Rocks line this clearing. AshClan cats come here to sun themselves mostly, and bask in the steamy relaxational pools. There are in fact fish that swim around in the warm water, but they can only be found during green leaf.
Windswept Woods This small extent of a wooded area lies at the base of the volcano in AshClan. It is here that most of the hunting occurs. There is more prey here than in any other part of AshClan. However, there is one catch. The AshClan cats who hunt here must be trained in advance to hunt in the strong winds that originate on the volcano and end up whipping through the vegetation and undergrowth in the woods. Gusts are often strong enough to sweep away a small kit.
