"I bet you couldn't" Moonshadow taunted, already starting to move. His pace increased, from running, to sprinting, to leaping. He loved the feeling of the wind against his fur and the sight of his paws beneath him turning into a blur. As Fossil Valley came into view, his pace slackened, and his legs started to burn with exhaustion. He turned his head around for a few seconds, thinking that Fawnstride would still be fox-lengths away from him.

Moonshadow let a few chuckles escape from his closed maw as Fawnstride flew past him. Tumbled, more like it. That was until she started laughing. He lost all self control and fell on the ground laughing. "I thought you were still far away!" he said, in between fits of laughing. He laughed until his stomach ached, and he had to force himself to stop. "I'm sorry, but that was hilarious." he said, still grinning widely. "Now, would you like to go first?"

"Well, if you insist. Watch and learn." Moonshadow flashed her a grin before heading into Fossil Valley. Once he got there, he stood stock still, focusing only on his hearing and scenting. His ears pricked, then quivered ever so slightly. There. A movement. He dropped into a hunter's crouch, his feet sliding silently through the ground, his tail held high to avoid stirring up dust. He spotted the mouse near a large boulder. Quick as a flash, he pounced, closing his paws onto the mouse. He held it by its tail and bit hard onto it's neck. Eventually, it stopped squeaking and hung limp from his maw. He laid it on the ground and spat out the blood that came from the mouse, sending a prayer of thanks to DreamClan for the prey. Most of his clanmates no longer had any faith in DreamClan, but he still did. He believed that the Everglow would pass, and the territory would be rich with prey once again.

"Learned enough yet? Your turn." Moonshadow said after covering the mouse with dirt, making a show of stepping aside to let her pass.
