Bert McCracken's voice blared from the headphones of the boy's headphones, his black Chuck Taylor's slapping against the concrete ground. He was singing along quietly, not realizing he was singing. The moonlight was bright, for it was a full moon, and of course he was out on a night that was clear with the moon full and round. All the 'psychos' wandered around on nights like this. Now, a 16 year-old dressed in black skinny jeans, a Misfits shirt, and a black Jeffree Star jacket walking around at 1 in the morning, wouldn't be considered a 'psycho', right?

Of course not.

It began to rain. Tila pulled the hood of her black KoRn hoodie over her head. There were a lot of people out. Especially it being one o'clock in the morning. Mostly gang members and a couple of other teenagers just hanging out. There we a couple of cars out and it looked as if most of the people there came from the drag races. There was one person there that stood out. A boy, about five foot nine, and wearing a Jeffree Star hoodie. He looked completely different from everyone. They were all wearing baggy jeans, all the way down to their knees. But not him. He was wearing skinny jeansand had purple hair.

Why was he here?

The song changed from The Used, to Mindless Self Indulgence. He looked around, and leaned against the brick wall of the abandoned cigar factory. Davey pulled a pack of Marlboros, taking out one of the cancer sticks and holding it between his lips, lighting the end. Tucking the pack away, he took a puff, blowing out the smoke into the night air. He chewed on his lip ring, a habit he's developed, and continued smoking his cancer stick. He spotted a girl staring at him, and stared back at her with his pale blue eyes, and then he looked away, letting his music distract him.

Tila looked at the boy, he was leaning against a brick wall,reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Tila didnt see him as the kind of guy who would smoke though. He began to look at her. Staring at her. Probably because she was looking at him. When their eyes met, he looked away quickly. Tila looked down at here Vans. He looks kinda lonely. Maybe I should go talk to him she thought.

Davey dared to look at her again, and she was staring at her shoes, which he noticed, were Vans. He breathed in the smoke from his cigarette, and let his head hang back as he held the air in his mouth for a few minutes, and then his lips parted as a puff of gray swirled above his purple hair. Davey's fringe fell in his eyes, which he didn't mind.

When he was finished with the cig, he dropped it on the ground and stepped on it, making sure it was out. No point in starting a fire...at least, not with this many people around.

The rain was letting up a bit but there was still lightning and thunder. Tila looked at the boy in the black hoodie and finally brought up enough courage to go oer and talk to him. He tossed his cigarette and stepped on it. Tila figured that this was the best opportunity to go over nad talk to him.

The problem was, what would she say?

The water hadn't hit him; he was under an overhang. When Davey looked up from the ground, he saw the girl walking over to him. When she was half of the walk to him, he pulled the hood over his unnaturally colored hair, and tucked his hands in his jacket pockets as he walked out from under the overhang, into the rain. It seemed like a rude gesture, but honestly, he didn't care. What does that girl want with him anyway? Probably for a smoke or to ask for some of his crack, which he had stuffed in the pocket with his cigarettes. Either way, he kept walking, System of a Down drowning out the sounds of anything else.

The boy with purple hair began to walk away from her. Okay so I guess he doesnt want any friends.. whatever. He didnt seem like the nicest guy. Well he did when he was standing all alone, but not anymore. Her KoRn jacket was wet and water was soaking through her hood into her multi-colored hair. She started walking over to the gas station mini-mart.

Finally out of the rain, Tila walked the isles and picked out a Monster energy drink and a pack of starburst. She went to the checkout counter and paid for it and left, opening the starburst. It was raining even harder so she decided to go back inside

When he saw her go into a gas station, he decided he was going to take some shelter from the rain, which started coming down harder now. He took refuge into the nearest Mini-Mart, pulling the headphones from his ears and taking the hood off his head. He went into one of the far aisles, and lit another cigarette. What did it matter if he smoked in here anyway? The cashier probably did it when this place was empty. He heard the little jingle, signaling another person was here.

Tila pushed her pink bangs away from her eyes. That guy that she wanted to talk to had come in a few minutes after her. He had went far into one of the isles and lit a cigarette. "Hey..." She greeted going through songs on her iPod. Tila went over to one of the freezers, grabbed a Hot Pocket, then went to the checkout counter.

"That will be $1.17" The cashier said. Then Tila walked over to the Microwave and heated it up. She looked over at the boy who had a cigarette in his mouth. It stunk. He had not replied when she haid greeted him, which, in all honesty, was kinda rude.

As she said hi, he was about to say hi back, but then she walked away and paid for her hot pocket--which, was a disgusting food item, in Davey's opinion--and Davey felt a bit offended. She says hi, then walks away? Rude, much?

When he caught her looking at him (again) he gave a friendly nod, a silent form of saying 'hello'. He took the cigarette out of his mouth, blowing the smoke out, watching it swirl in the air before fading.

A teenage boy was walking down the street, hands buried in his pockets casually. His gait was lumbering, or one might even describe it as a swagger. He was quickly getting drenched from head to toe, seeing as it was raining and he had no jacket. The tallish boy didn't really mind the rain all that much. He was wearing a black Disturbed T-shirt with two demonic green eyes glaring from where they were printed on the back and the name of the band was written on the front in blood-red letters. His jeans were a bit big on him, and they sagged around his feet a bit; but they still stayed at his waist without a belt, unlike the other idiots that walked around the city late at night these days looking for trouble. They waddled around like penguins in their knee-dwelling pants, and he found it all quite funny.

Zach looked through the huge windows of a convenient mart as he walked by on the sidewalk. He could see a girl standing by the microwave, looking at something out of sight around the corner...maybe another person? 'Who knows.' He thought as he reached the double door entrance, shoving hard to push the doors open. Stepping inside, the doors swung shut promptly with their bright white words labeled pull gleaming proudly. There was a telltale jingle that signalled his entrance, as it did for every person that went in. He walked down the same aisle that Tila had just traversed and glanced around, looking for something he could get as a snack. His eyes fell upon the glass doors in the back, the energy drinks on the bottom shelf showing clearly. 'Aha.' He thought, advancing towards them 'Now we're in business.' Zach slid aside the glass and stooped to grab a red bull, which was replaced by another obliging gray can that slid into it's place. He then straightened up again, glancing towards the corner of the store.

He saw another kid there, who was eyeing the girl he'd seen from outside. He walked over to them, giving a nearly unnoticable nod of greeting. He looked at the guy in the Jeffree Star jacket with a slightly amused smirk. It was probably none of his business, but he couldn't help commenting anyways. "I'm guessing you came in here to get out of the rain? That cigarette won't help much." He nodded towards the ceiling where a few red sprinklers were attached, ready to detonate at the sign of smoke. It would be pretty ironic if they went off, soaking the people who'd entered the store to escape the clinging wetness in the first place.

Zach popped open the top of the red bull and took a gulp. What did it matter if he drank it? He was going to pay for it anyways. He glanced sideways at a shelf displaying many assorted bags of chips. They didn't keep his attention for long though, and he looked back at the other two, who were looking at him incredulously. Apparently they had been shyly trying to communicate, and here he just came up and spoke as if he'd known them. But he didn't. He took another swig of the energy drink, tapping on the sides with his fingers and jamming his free hand into his pocket.

Davey gave this kid a sharp glance, before taking one last drag before tossing it on the ground, stepping on it with the heel of his old, beat-up black Chucks, ensuring that no fire would be started. He flipped his fringe out of his eyes with a flick of his skull, eyeing this guy with an unreadable expression lingering in his eyes.

"I'm Davey." As his lips moved, his arms went to the pockets of his jacket instead of extending an arm out to shake the stranger's hand, since the gesture was over-used, pointless, and used when you're meeting a friend of your parent's, which was always a time one would wish to retreat to the sanctuary of a private room instead of mingling with people twice your age.

Not even waiting to hear this guy's name, Davey's pale blue audits wandered around the market, realizing how crappy it was. Then something red caught his eye--an fresh, ripe apple. He wandered over, picking up the fruit in a hand and clamping his jaw down through the skin. He'll pay for it, but not yet. This little store might have something else worth spending a dollar or two on. The sweet, sugary taste filled his mouth, replacing the leftover tobacco taste the cigarette had previously left him with. The juice trickled down his chin, but he wiped it away as he looked at the guy, now awaiting an answer to his quesiton.

"Zach." He replied with a small smirk. His own intense blue eyes followed Davey as he grabbed an apple and took a bite, hearing the satisfying moist crunch of the flesh being torn from the fruit. Zach leaned lightly against a shelf, putting his weight back on his heels and glancing over at the girl, who was still by the microwave. He blinked, and then turned his attention to the front of the store. The owner had obviously been staring by the way he jumped a bit and how his eyes hurriedly flicked to his feet. He moved sideways behind the counter, pretending to be suddenly engaged by something out of sight.

Zach rolled his eyes and turned his head slowly back to look at the two new kids as he took another mouthful of his energy drink. After he swallowed, he jingled some loose change in his pocket with the hand that was resting in it. "So..." He began slowly, "what brings you both out so late?" He looked down slightly at both of the other teens from his height, and it was not only because he was older than them both by at least a couple of years, but also because he had the build of a football player. It was true, he played Lacrosse, but he wasn't exactly labeled by most as a jock. In fact, he fit in with so many different cliques, it made his head spin. Perhaps the people he was known for fitting in with the most were these kind of people...the kind of people who went walking around at one in the morning in dark clothes.

At least this guy has a name now.

Seeing as the girl wasn't going to answer anytime soon, Davey spoke up. "My parents were having an argument. Dad yelled at me to get my arse out of the house. So I did, and here I am," he answered, motioning random things with his hands, just because it's a habit of his to move his hands when he speaks. He took another bite of the apple, the crunch being one of the few noises that was shared between the trio.
