Silverstep made a shocked sound. "Oh Stallionkit!" She wailed.
Leafkit padded toward her brother. Expertly, she put her head down and listened for Stallionkit's heartbeat. She slightly relaxed. "Mother! Stallionkit is alive."
Silverstep turned to her mate. Take Galekit back. See if you can convince this poor mite to stay and join. I'm going to take Leafkit and Stallionkit back to camp." She picked up her son and ran toward camp.
