Jasperpaw watched his brothers, remember that his father had left camp when he was supposed to be sitting silent vigil. "Leave him be Fogbreeze, I will go talk to him." He said and silently walked out of camp following his brother's thought trail.

Stormdove looked at Thorntooth's figure stalking away. Her eyes showed such concern. "I hope he will be alright."

Thorntooth stalked off, mind whirling with dark thoughts. He walked along for a few moments, fuming, then realized Jasperpaw had followed him. He rounded on the scent of his brother, waiting for him to catch up with narrowed eyes.

Jasperpaw knew what to expect when he walked forwards, so the narrowed eyes did not faze him. "You are troubled, and yet you have a clear mind to what you think you must do." He said and continued before Thorntooth could respond. "Do not speak for you are still on silent vigil even if you are not in camp. You need not speak anyway, because what I say is true and we both know it."

Thorntooth growled but said nothing. What does the warrior code matter if my learning it doesn't matter in the eyes of my own Clanmates? he thought bitterly, looking away. His eyes blazed and they swept across the territory that had come to be his home.

"It does matter Thorntooth. You must learn the warrior code so you can accomplish your dream of being leader like dad wanted." Jasperpaw said knowing he was probably saying to much and might blow his secret. But right now it didn't matter, he had to make sure his brother was okay. "Everyone did care about you becoming a warrior. Stormdove of course went to see Fogbreeze, they're mates now. You just have to learn to look past the actions of others and focus on your own."

Thorntooth stepped back from his brother, blinking in astonishment. How had he guessed what he had been thinking? What are you, some kind of physcic? You read my mind! he yowled silently, mouth agape, That's not possible! Not even if you received the powers from DreamClan. Everycat knows they don't have the power. He took another step backwards, muscles tensed in fear and suspicion. What is he, a monster?

Jasperpaw flinched and stepped back as if he had been hit, when he heard his brother's thoughts. "Yes I can read your thoughts. But I only realized that a few moons ago. Please do not tell anyone, I don't want them to think of me as you do now." He said his head down and his tail low.

The suspicious light in Thorntooth's eyes faded away, leaving only sympathy. I won't tell. I'm sorry, that just creeped me out a bit, he apoligized silently. Stepping forward again, he sighed, but made sure no sound came out. I suppose you're going to say I'd better get back to camp.

Jasperpaw relaxed a bit, "I need to get some herbs from near the border." He said and flicked his tail in good-bye. "You should hurry, they're starting to worry, and trust me I'm not lieing."
