ooc- Sorry this is soooo late, idk if you even want to continue this roleplay... but yeah. Figured it couldn't hurt to post a response. :3
ic- Midnightpaw turned and followed Lunapaw's gaze with a sharp twist of his head. A flash of gray, and then nothing. The creature was gone. He saw a hostile spark in her eye— and could that be admiration?—as she slipped off after him. Midnightpaw’s pelt prickled in fury. He could smell the scent of a foreign tom, clearly not of any of the clans. He stood for a moment seemingly frozen in place with shock, before Lunapaw’s raucous cry drove him forward like an arrow. How could he have allowed his paws to be so idle when a threat lurked nearby? He had let Lunapaw chase after the tom as he had been overcome by surprise. Now she could be in battle with the intruder, or even seriously hurt. He ran silently, with his belly flat to the earth in a hunter’s run. He intended to enter battle with the cold and calculating tact of a trained killer, if needed. Midnightpaw would stop at nothing if Lunapaw’s life was truly threatened.
The scent of both cats overwhelmed him as he emerged from the foliage. He knew he had reached them. The jet-black tom’s teeth had subconsciously revealed themselves as he had ran after his young female friend. And now, as he slid into better lighting, a deadly snarl crawled up from his throat. His claws were unsheathed, and the hair on his back was risen in a fine arc. His indigo eyes glowed as brightly as the sun, striking both in their unusual color and intensity. Midnightpaw looked like a panther bearing down on a rival big cat: he was ready to deal punishment where it was necessary. The crescent moon on his forehead gleamed fiercely in the sunlight, lending to his rather impressive air. His ears flattened to his skull as he saw the other tom, giving his head a round and alien-like appearance. The dark apprentice rose slowly and reluctantly from his hunter’s crouch, only upon seeing that the stranger had not harmed Lunapaw. His claws kneaded into the earth in frustration. Yes, it was true, he knew Lunapaw was a strong-willed and extremely tough young lady, and could handle herself. But deep down inside him, something silently wished that Riku had not sheathed his claws in their scuffle, so that at the slightest sign of a scratch on his love he could tear this tom to shreds. He immediately felt guilty for the thought; he was extremely relieved to see that Lunapaw was merely ruffled, and more or less unscathed. But the look in her eyes as she gazed at the older male made him long to sink his leopard-like canines into the tresspasser’s throat.
The shadow of a tom looked the gray male up and down, silently judging the enemy’s weight and battle stance while pretending to assess his trustworthiness. He listened to him speak, all the more furious that he could do so as calmly as possible. His voice was cool as ice, and his gaze on Lunapaw was appreciative… and perhaps slightly ravenous. Midnightpaw burned defensively, a low growl rumbling deep in his chest. This was a feeling he’d never felt before: jealousy. It stabbed at him like a vulture’s beak, pecking away at his heart mercilessly. Oh, how Lunapaw watched this tom. Midnightpaw yearned for her eyes to look upon him that way.
But Midnightpaw couldn’t let his jealousy get in the way of clan business, especially since this appeared to be important. However, that didn’t mean he had to be friendly. “Under what circumstances?” The young male replied, his tone low and suspicious, “Is our clan in danger, or is this a matter of your own personal saftey? Make no mistake, I will take you to the Blazeclan camp to speak with our leader if it is indeed as urgent as you so say. But it is within my duties to make sure you are not an enemy. Why have you an interest in Blazeclan’s well-being, stranger? And how can I know to trust you with the secret of our camp’s location?” Midnightpaw watched the other tom with a stoic, and serious gaze. His back and neck fur was still raised, and his lips were still pulled back to show off his magnificent fangs. He didn’t want this tom to think Blazeclan was undefended.

Riku chuckled as he looked upon the young male, and listened as he spoke, standing up, the grey tom placed his spiked tail on the black apprentice's shoulder. "My name is Riku, I am the loner that lives in the forest surrounding Dream Falls, and those of the clans that travel there frequently must pass through my territory to get there. I bear the clans no ill will, and I am concerned for the safety of the clans simply because I have offered shelter to many a medicine cat that has passed through my land. I was once the leader of a small group of cats who were just as highly spiritual in their faith as you are with your Dream Clan, but an unexplainable danger killed off the cats I had once called family. That same danger is on it's way here, I smelled them from my cave, and a clan without warning could be wiped out by this danger. I have seen it happen before, and I don't want to have to watch it happen again."
