As I write this, I decided to post it for the reason I feel sick to my stomach after and needed to share it...
I spent the night at my cousin's yesterday and my parents were taking him and me to my house to let him spend the night tonight. We were driving over a hill, and then as we passed it we looked downhill to see a truck, smashed into a tree on the very side of the road. It must have just happened, because fleeing from the truck just then were the passengers - a girl about 17, a guy (the driver) about 16, a littler boy (under 13) and what we didn't see at first: another teenager, male, trapped beneath the truck.
As we slowed to a stop the girl ran to our truck, tears on her face, screaming, "MISTER! MISTER, HELP! MISTER! OH, GOD, HELP!" My parents made me and Cole (my cousin) stay in our truck while it was pulled over as they ran to the accident. My dad helped direct traffic with another guy who stopped, and my mom called 911 as two more people stopped, one guy with a crowbar type thing to help get the teenager out from under the crashed vehicle. All this happened in pouring rain.
When my mom ran back to the truck to comfort me and Cole, the crying girl who was in the accident ran to her asking to talk to the 911 officers to direct them to the right place. That's when we noticed the blood running from her nose and mouth - ouch! I hope she's okay now! Me and Cole waited in our truck, and while we did the trapped guy was helped out. He had a broken arm and a possible spinal injury but he was conscious and talking.
Anyway, then the police got there with the ambulance. I felt like sharing this because I thought this was a miraculous story! Not to get all religious on you, but I never pray and I did while I was in the car with Cole and prayed they would all not be badly injured. I don't know if that influenced anything, but no one was killed. Those guys were pretty lucky.
What do you guys think of this?
