Timbercreek staggered painfully into camp with Marshclaw close behind. They had both suffered painful injuries from an attack by two AshClan warriors, Smolderstone and Featherstep, near the borders. The femme's first instinct was to find Flamestar. Her injuries could wait. The clan was in danger!

At this point in time, blood nearly covered her auburn back. Her usually shiny pelt was caked with drying blood. Several other clan members came out of their dens to see what the commotion was about.

Marshclaw limped in blood dripping from the bite on his leg. It was sore and to painful to walk on but he did. How else could he prove to be a strong warrior and fit to be in the clan.
Shaking his head he stopped beside Timbercreek. He noticed the blood and croaked,"You ok?" The would looked serious and painful.

A calico she-cat sat up from her nest at the edge of camp, not even looking startled as the two bleeding cats entered camp. Ever since joining Blazeclan, she'd been old enough to be a warrior, and she had learned the code and the skills well enough. Flamestar just hadn't given her a warrior name yet, and so she was sleeping here instead of in the warrior den, because she felt like she didn't quite belong yet. Her brother, Death, was out on a self-assigned hunting patrol. She knew he wanted so badly to become an apprentice, and he really was trying to prove himself.
Standing up, she padded hurriedly over to the two cats; the only sign of urgency in the matter that she showed, for her face was calm. "What happened?" She rasped with eyebrows raised in surprise. She thought for a moment, and realized that an attack could be happening. A pang of surprise shot through her. already? She thought with confusion. Shaking it off, she realized that she smelled Ashclan on their pelts. "No, actually don't tell me. Tell Flamestar, while I get herbs for your wounds. Go!" She rushed off and ducked into Windstorm's den. She called out the medicine cat's name, peering through the darkness.
A black kit poked his head out of the nursery, the white crecent shape on his head glowing furiously. "Whodat?!" He mewed, tumbling out head over tail into the clearing. He looked up from where he lay on his back between the two wounded warriors. With a tiny squeak, he mewed, "Ouch! You guises got booboos. Betta see Windystorm! Yup." He nodded furiously, getting to his paws and dusting himself off. He was clumsier than most kits, being about the size of a young apprentice and quite unused to his massiveness. Midnight didn't know the scent of Ashclan, but he did recognize it as foreign. He screwed up his face and said, "You guises smell funny. Whatchya been rollin in?"

Flamestar lifted his head up, immedietly recognizing the scent of AshClan, mixed with the rusty scent of blood, in the air. Something was definately wrong. He dashed out of the den, senses alert. "What happened?" he asked, skidding to a halt in front of Timberclaw and Marshclaw. Judging from the fatality of the injuries, the news was probably just as serious.

"I'll be okay," Timbercreek assured Marshclaw. Though her wounds hurt, she was determined to tough it out. "Windstorm is a good medicine cat she'll know what to do." From across the clearing Timbercreek spotted Flamestar approaching them. "There was a fight, with AshClan, at the borders," she explained to him. "They were trying to make scent markers inside our territory. It was Featherstep and Smolderstone. Marshclaw and I fought them off, but they said we had not heard the last of them,"Timbercreek managed in one breath.
xx.//You wont even make a sound.]]
Suddenly, the pain was unbearable, the auburn femme collapsed to her haunches. "I'll be okay," she winced. "We've got to stop AshClan!" she yowled with determination. The femme turned to lick her wound and recognized the stench of AshClan clinging to her. Well Featherstep had been clinging to her back... It would take days to remove the smell.

Marshclaw watched Timbercreek fall he gasped and lifted up his leg. He gasped as the pain rippled up till he yowled. The bite was getting worse a small puddle of blood was at where his paw once was.
He meowed,"Yes, Ashclan must be stopped." He twitched his tail and he tried not to think of the pain that was seizing his body. His shoulder was the only part hurting but it felt like wooden stake had been drivin into it.

Timbercreek glanced over at Marshclaw. She admired his strength in battle today. Most toms would have been afraid of Smolderstone, because he was a former leader and just because of his sheer size. But Marshclaw had fought bravely. The femme scolded herself when she realized she hadn't even once asked if Marshclaw was okay. She didn't want the tom to think that she didn't care for him, because she did, she definitely did. In fact, she care for him in a way she hadn't thought of any cat in for a long time. "Are you okay," she asked softly.

The tom looked towards the voice of Timbercreek. Even when down she had fought bravely not caring if her secret could be told to the whole clan she had attacked. Twitching his tail he looked over her wounded body and prayed to Starclan she would live.
As the words entered his ears he heard the sincere in her voice. With a gulp he meowed,"I am fine just a bit of pain thats all." As he spoke his foot touched the ground making him wince in pain.

Timbercreek nodded. However she noticed Marshclaw wince in pain as he attempted to put pressure on his leg. "Don't worry, I'm sure the medicine cat will come soon," Timbercreek reassured the tom. The auburn femme decided to change the subject while they were waiting. "So I haven't met you before today, how long have you been in BlazeClan?

Marshclaw felt relieved at the thought of the medicine cat coming. He wanted the pain to seize and die to allow him to walk. With a hard expression he heard her ask a simple question.
Without thinking he meowed,"I been here all my life. I just been sort of an outcast till today." He grinned at her with ease even with the pain flowing Timbercreek at made him smile.

Timbercreek beamed, even though she was in pain as well. Marshclaw's comment brightened her day by a mile. It felt good to know that she had made a difference in someone's life. "Really?" she purred. "I know being an outcast is hard," she commented as she recalled the time when the whole clan had found out about her relationship with an AshClan cat. She was basically exiled without the former title of it.

Marshclaw dipped his head and meowed,"Really." He was about to hobbled over but the pain stopped him. His eye gave twitch and he let out a moan of pain.

ooc: I ran out of lyrics for that song, so I'm just going to be lazy and not post them anymore for this thread.
Timbercreek rested her head on her paws, it was more comfortable that way. She could only await the response of Flamestar. The femme recalled the day's events. In a way, she hoped that Flamestar wouldn't wage war with AshClan, afterall she may have to fight her own daughter. Timbercreek thought maybe she'd tell Marshclaw the whole story; he'd be the first cat ever to hear it, not counting those AshClanners who apparently knew. However there was a growing number of cats in the clearing; appearing from their dens too see what had happened. Timbercreek knew it would be better to wait until they were alone. She had been outcast once before, and she didn't want to be turned away like that again.

Flamestar remain quiet for a moment, his tail flicking back and forth behind him. He couldn't start a war with AshClan. That wouldn't turn out well. Both clans would grow weak, making them easy targets for other clans. "We'll have to send out more patrols to the border of AshClan. Only fight if it is really necessary." he said, his voice loud enough to be heard through the clearing. "You two," he said, flicking his tail at Marshclaw and Timbercreek, "go get some rest."
Flamestar quickly leaped up the High ___. He wouldn't have to call the clan, because most of them were already gathered. "Sin, Death, please come foreward." he said, his voice once again ringing across the clearing, silencing most of the chatter. "Both of you have proven your loyalty to BlazeClan. Seeing as you already know the basics of hunting and fighting, you will only be apprentices for a while." he said. "Sin, from now on, you will be known as Sinpaw. Your mentor will be Timbercreek. Death, from this moment on you shall be known as Deathpaw. Marshclaw will be your mentor. Both of you will begin your training as soon as Timbercreek and Marshclaw's injuries have healed." he said.
OOC: pretend Death got back from the hunting trip in time for the ceremony. awww when I picture Midnight he seems soooo adorable XD oh and anyone else need ceremonies just say so ^__^

Sin looked startled for a moment, backing out of the medicine cat's den to see that Flamestar was on the highrock. She glanced towards Timbercreek, then turning to see that Death had returned and was standing next to her with gleaming eyes that matched her own perfectly. With a sly grin, she thought 'I know more than they think. Maybe I'll end up teaching her some things too.'
Death took one step into camp and dropped his catch on the ground as his mouth fell open. Why were those two warriors bleeding? And why was the scent of Ashclan clinging to the air? The young tom hastily regathered his catch from the ground and tossed them onto the freshkill pile, rushing to Sin's side unnoticed. He raised his head proudly as Flamestar pronounced him Deathpaw. He whispered in Sin's ear, "I saw you by Windstorm's den. Were you trying to fetch her? We should get them some help..." He flicked his tail to their new mentor's with a disgruntled expression.
Midnight's attention immediately turned to Death as he entered the camp. "Deathpaw, Deathpaw!" He squeaked happily, running circles around the pale ginger tom. Then he stopped, considering the two wounded cats again as Deathpaw spoke. He looked up at his friend with big yellow-green eyes. "I tolded them to go to Windystorm, yes I did." He said matter of factly, "I knewed what to do. I should be a apprentice too, huh?" The dark-pelted kit puffed out his chest, trying to stand as tall as Deathpaw. But it was to no avail, because while Midnight was large for his age, so was Deathpaw.
Deathpaw glanced down at the large kit and chuckled, shoving his to the side playfully. Midnight tumbled away with a squeak of surprise. Quickly, he hopped to his paws and hared over to the tom that he'd known since birth. Midnight took a flying leap at him but missed, careening into Sin instead. The calico she-cat hissed warningly at the kit, who took no heed and began to swat her ears with a forepaw.
ooc- lol yeah. He kinda reminds me of my other character Wolfbane when he was a kit. Big, playful hairball. xD
