Timbercreek glanced nervously at Marshclaw as Sinpaw was announced as her apprentice. The auburn femme recalled the night in the forest where she had discovered the young cat and her brother talking to an out of clan cat who happened to be their father. She knew that trusting Sinpaw was going to be a challenge. "Well I guess we're mentors now," she smiled at Marshclaw. Timbercreek took a second glance at Sinpaw. She was nervous at having her first apprentice, but she was determined to do things right no matter what. The warrior knew that Sinpaw already knew many of the basics of training, so she would be easier to train than a kit who had just came from the nursery. One thing she could be thankful for...

Marshclaw was half excited at being able to be given an apprentice. He listened to Timbercreeks words before purring,"I guess we are." He bit his tongue to hold a yelp. It would be a while before he could walk probably by his guess.
His eyes drifted to Deathpaw and he studied the young cat. He twitched his whiskers wondering how the apprentice would fair to a quiet mentor.

Windstorm rushed In with a worried look on her face,"Im so sorry!" Windstorm quickly but gently put cob webs on their wounds. Windstorm graped some poppy seed and gave it to them to help with the pain. She sighed and look at them carefully."What happened to you?"

Marshclaw eagerly lapped up the poppy seeds. His shoulder still stung but not as much now. With a twitch of his tail he meowed,"Two Ashclan cats attacked us on the border. They had moved the marker and Timbercreek told them to move it back. Then they attacked.
His green eyes looked over to Timberbreek studying her injured body. He was glad she had battled beside him. Sighing he looked away and laid down to rest.

Timbercreek was glad at last that Windstorm had come to try to heal their wounds. "Yes, that's what happened," she agreed. The femme admired Marshclaw's strength in battle, especially against former leaders, it didn't matter if he was soft spoken or not, he was a good warrior and an excellent fighter. Timbercreek rested her head on her paws and allowed cobwebs to be applied to her wounds, feeling some relief at last.

The poppy seeds where making him drowsy and he knew it. With a yawn he got to his paws and meowed,"Um where are the dens again." He sort of forgot with the poppy seeds taking affect.

Timbercreek smiled, "This way," she meowed, bringing herself to her feet. It was less painful now that she had injested the poppy seeds that Windstorm had given her and her wounds were encased with cobwebs. She waited for Marshclaw to get up. "You can lean on me if you need to," she volunteered, since her injuries were on the opposite side of her body.

Marshclaw grinned and purred,"Thanks Timbercreek." Leaning on the she-cat he nodded his head that he was ready to move. He began to walk his shoulder still in pain a bit.

Sinpaw turned and headed towards the apprentice's den, beconing to her brother with her tail. Now that they had their new names, they could move into the den. Entering the shadowy confines, she noticed suddenly that she was much older than every single cat there. She bristled slightly at the curious gazes, but found an empty nest and settled in, resting her head on her paws.
Deathpaw saw that the medicine cat had come out to help their new mentors, and he looked relieved. "Thanks Windstorm." He mewed before turning and haring across the clearing after his sister. He poked his head into the den and then stepped in, excited to see his new sleeping quarters and everyone within. He stepped around the bedding spots with fresh scent, coming over to where his sister lay. He stepped into an empty nest beside hers and walked in circles for a few minutes to get his scent worked in. He didn't lay down though. Deathpaw certainly wasn't going to sleep right now, for it was still bright outside!
Midnight watched Windstorm curiously for a few moments before leaping off after the clearing, chasing a butterfly gleefully. He reached upwards with his forepaws, balancing on his hindlegs, and clapped them together. He brought them down towards his face and opened them again. No butterfly! He looked up and saw it flitting away, untouched. He growled playfully, running after it, his face turned upward to watch it float around. Midnight swatted at it with a paw, but missed by a longshot, and hurried after it again. [/color][/blockquote]
