Brackendust wandered through the thickets, coming to Whisper Creek. He sighed, his mind on Heathersong. Does she feel the same way? He wondered. A question that had haunted him for a very long time. Ever since the journey to RageClan, Brackendust had a hard time focusing on his warrior duties as Heathersong's face floated in and out of his mind. I wish I could tell her how I feel. He thought wistfully. His ears twitched at an approaching sound, but the wind blew behind him so he won't find out who it was until the person wanted to show him or herself.

The grasses parted in her wake, bending to heed her movements through their expanses. The grass seemed to sigh in relief as a slight breeze brushed over them, ruffling the cream and white fur of the femme. With the fresh bout of air brought the scent of a tom. Heathersong instantaneously recognized the familiar smell. She had dreamed of it, wanted to take it all in and never let it go. Just the thought of him set her heart pounding. Neck would crane to raise her skull into the chilling air, as she made effort to detect the direction of which her love was.
Whisper Creek.
Heathersong's heart fluttered as she again drank in Brackendust's scent. Paws unwittingly carried the female towards the gurgling creek, towards Brackendust. She had longed to see him again since their escapade to RageClan. But she had become restricted. Nightcloud had not taken kindly to Heathersong vanishing without consoling her older sister first, and had thus taken it upon herself to keep Heathersong within her sights. Heathersong smiled to herself. Nightcloud was very motherly for a sister. Ferns parted and the femme halted, skull raised as violet pools shimmered. There he was.

Brackendust sighed, wishing Heathersong was here. He purred slightly at a fantasy he was watching within his own mind until he heard pawsteps that sounded so familiar to him. As if in a dream, she turned around, and the first thing he saw was Heathersong's beautiful face. "Heathersong." He breathed, letting the name roll, letting the image of her sink in as he stared. Remembering his manners, "Do you want to sit?" He asked, rushedly, feeling himself grow hot with embarrassment.

The cream tabby smiled at Brackendust's words. 'Indeed. I would be glad to.' Heathersong purred lovingly. The femme quietly seated herself beside the tom, their pelts brushing. Heat rushed to the feline's ears at the simple touch. Not of embarressment, but of the delight at being close to this enthralling tom once more. Violet pools were wide with the affection she felt towards the tom. Skull leaned towards Brackendust as Heathersong let out a throaty purr. She could not find the right words to say in this moment. Brackendust looked at Heathaersong's pretty face, staring into her beautiful, violet eyes. He felt himself grow warm with delight. He usually wasn't a shy cat, but this was all new to him. He never thought his heart would beat so loud, or so hard. He knew he loved being a warrior, and he loved his siblings; but this took him by surprise. But he did not care. He liked the feeling, and he knew he loved Heathersong. But he just couldn't admit it; it was too intimidating. I wish I could tell you; that I love you and I would want you by my side, no matter what. He thought. "By my side, no matter what." He murmured softly, echoing aprt of his thoughts.

The cream tabby feline flicked her violet optics towards Brackendust. He had murmured something, but she failed to catch it. Maw opened to speak, but no words came out. She was still awestruck by the handsome tom. She wished to express her true feelings towards him through her own voice, but trusted it not. Instead, she merely conveyed her heart-felt emotions for the tom through physical forms. Purring when he neared, gazing at him with all the love in the world. Anything. Finally, after gaping at him for several moments, Heathersong murmured, 'What was that you said?'

Brackendust purred in embarrassment. I can't believe I've just said part of my thoughts out loud. He thought crossly. "Well," He stated, just going with the solemn truth. "Ever since you've helped me find my siblings, it's made me realize something." He breathed deeply, trying to calm his ever so beating heart down. "I've realized that I love you." He murmured softly in her ear.

"I've realized that I love you."
Those last words sent such a jolt through her heart, Heathersong nearly collapsed in joyfulness. The cream tabby femme stood, dumbstruck, by Brackendust's words. Maw was agape and violet ops wide with surprise and, beneath that, satisfaction. No words could descirbe the overwhelming sense of feelings that coursed through her paws, making them yearn to have her leap for joy, or run towards the tom who expressed his feelings for her. Limbs trembeled as Heathersong finally regained the control to move and speak. Bounding joyfully to Brackendust's side, the cream tabby purred, arching her back against his side, and meowed, 'Oh I've waited so long to hear you say that, when I was to afriad to say it myself.' Brackendust started purring in louder, in both surprise and such joyfulness. "I never knew you felt the same way..." He trailed off, gently licking her ear. He felt as if his heart would burst out of his chest. He felt as if he could run forever, or feel the warm sun on his face forever, feeling that gentle bliss. He felt so alive at this moment...so alive until something brought him back down to earth. Everything was silent at Whispering Creek. No grasshoppers singing, nor any rustle in the brush. Not even the babbling stream talked, whispering to the world. He truly realized, now, that the clans were in drought. It has been for some time but he was too busy mooning over Heathersong to notice. "Everything's quiet..." He whispered, as if too afraid to break the silence, the silence that seemed inpenetrable.

'Then let it be silent, and let us be together in this moment.' Heathersong purred, tail entwining with Brackendust's as she gazed at him with wide violet eyes lovingly. Now she understood the feelings her sister Nightcloud felt towards Palefur(?). She cared not right then what was going on around them. A war against another Clan could be raging beside them and she wouldn't care. As long as she and Brackendust were together. That's all that mattered. Everything else came second.

OOC: Lol, it's Palewind. [:
BIC: Brackendust started to purr. He would be fine as long as Heathersong would remain by his side. He rubbed his cheek against hers in affection. "As long as we're together, nothing could break us apart," He murmured in her ear. A steady breeze started to pick up, disturbing the silence, bringing the stream back to life. The ohters seemed to have come out. Birds were chirping, grasshoppers playing their melody, and Whisper Creek started to whisper its secrets of travel. Everything was brought back to life, and that seemed more wonderous than the sound of complete silence.
