Having had decided that it'd be easier to move through the other territories at night when there were less patrols, Seasalt was a little more at ease now that they were out of the Clan territories. After having returned to the DuneClan Camp with their fresh-kill, she and Hawkfeather had left the camp right afterwords and had been traveling in the direction the metal bird had fallen all night. Now, however, it was getting light, and the eastern horizon was glowing a faint greenish light, telling them both that dawn was not far off.
Seasalt turned to him. "Do you want to rest for a bit? We can hunt and then sleep for a couple of hours." Being the only Clan in all the territories that was truly nocturnal, dawn was the end of the day for the DuneClan cats(because it was so hot), and Seasalt was feeling rather tired.

Hawkfeather had been on edge most of the night. Even though their clan was the most nocturnal, that didnt mean other clans didn't have cats that walked around at night, he was just glad no one caught them. When Seasalt turned to him, the tom lifted his head "Sure, my stomach happily agrees with the plan" He joked, stretching his legs real quickly "Do you want both of us to hunt or if you want to sit down I could find us something?"

Seasalt shook her head. "I'm going to find us a dry place to sleep." She said. They had come to a place where it had just been raining, because the ground was wet and muddy and there wasn't a leaf or blade of grass that wasn't loaded with water droplets. She licked his cheek and purred a little. "I'll come find you when I've found something." Seasalt mewed, then turned away to start looking for a place they could sleep.
She walked around in the forested area, not used to the wetness, or the closed in feeling that the trees gave her. It was scary. Seasalt kept her head, however, and soon she found a good, dry place they could bed down in. Given it was an abandoned two-leg nest, Seasalt had explored all around it and inside before she decided it was safe. There wasn't even the tiniest trace of twoleg scent for miles. The walls were decrepit, the door was laying flat on the ground. The floor was cracked and an aspen tree was snaking it's way up the wall and out the broken window. There was a squashy boulder-looking thing in the middle of the room, one side was sunken into a hole in the floor boards, which had probably opened up from rot. If she ignored the bad-feeling she got when she tried to go up the rutted slope that led to a higher place... this nest would be perfect for the one night. She'd have to warn Hawkfeather about the broken glass around that tree.
Running outside, she quickly found Hawkfeather's scent trail and followed it to find him.

"Okay" Hawkfeather nodded and turned, trotting off into the forest to find prey.
In the brush, the toms eyes watched like...well, like a hawks. His tail was low, his weight on his haunches and he listened carefully for any sound of movement. Hawkfeather's ears stood straight up when a plump white rabbit mistakingly leaped out of the brambles, looking around. Careful to make no sounds, the heavyset cat inched forward, and when he was finally close enough, he leaped, landing square on the rabbit and giving it a swift killing blow to the head. Proud of how big the catch was, Hawkfeather picked it up and trotted back to where Seasalt had been.
For a minute he shut his eyes when out of nowhere he felt himself bump into something small. Looking down he saw Seasalt, "Oh! There you are, I found prey haha, did you find someplace dry?" He mumbled through the white furball in his mouth.

Seasalt nodded and stood up straight. "Yes... it's a little ways that way." She said, pointing with her tail back in the direction of the abandoned twoleg nest. "It's a twoleg nest, but it's so abandoned that a tree is growing in the wall. I checked the entire perimeter, there's not scent of twolegs anywhere near it, so I believe it's safe, and the inside is dry. There's a hole in the roof, but there's enough space on the floor for us to make a nest." She explained all of this as she led him towards the place she had found.
When they reached the twoleg den, Seasalt smiled at the rabbit. "Nice catch." She said, bounding up onto the higher platform which led to the doorway.
